URLs in cups-pdf

Hi guys,

I wonder how I can print a web page as pdf with linkable URLs. What I need is to ,for example, print a wikipedia.org page as pdf and be able click the links from this pdf file. When I use cups-pdf printer in my ubuntu 8.04, I can't click the links. I see their text underlined, but they are not containing any URL any more. The only URL which works is at the right top of the pdf file. It directs me to the source of the web page.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If the mid page url is of the form http://www.linuxquestions.org rather than Link, does it work for you?

I suspect this is simply a limitation of cups-pdf.

Hi billymayday,

The "http://www.linuxquestions.org" works, but not the "Link".
If this is the limitation of cups-pdf, do you know any other linux pdf printer which can do this trick?

Thank you for your reply.

If you are using firefox, there is a plug-in "PDF Download". This may be help ful to you.

I'm afraid I don't have a better solution for you.

Hi guys,

Thank you for your time. I've just tried chakka.lokesh's suggestion. It actually works as I wanted, but unfortunately it needs to connect to another web site to convert the page to a pdf, kinda slow for me.
Anyways, it does what I want. I will be looking for another solution when I have time.

Thanks again.
