URGNET: How do I setup Vrt. Hosts in Apache2.0.54?

I have installed Apache 2.0.54 on Debian Sarge 3.1 and I am confused by the new way that Apache makes virtual hosts. I had Virt. Hosts runnong on Apache 2 on RH8.0 but now on Debian I can't seem to get them to work. Also how do I upgrade Apache 2.0.54 to Apache 2.2? Which apt source would have it? Thanks
