upset with mail applications

I am upset with the email applications that I use. Thunderbird and claws can't read all the emails in my gmail accounts. I have mails in the gmail that I can't see on the applications. So, I started to use offlineimap, and now I have 10GB of mails in my disk. I am getting back to the gmail webinterface. Is this the best solution?

When did this start?
Can you give a description and example of such an email?
Are those emails in your offlineimap mailbox(es)?
Did you ever try contacting Mozilla / Google?

It did start a long time ago, when I started to see messages in the gmail web interface, and not in the Thunderbird or claws-mail.
I never tried to contact mozilla or google.
I just wonder if anyone knows what is this error?

For curiosity, I started to use fetchmail to get my email, and it also happens the same. But in this case I have the error:
Code:
reading message myuser@gmail.com@gmail-imap.l.google.com:81 of 81 (2064 header octets) About to rewrite Return-Path: <forum@linuxquestions.org>...
...rewritten version is Return-Path: <forum@linuxquestions.org>.

fetchmail: IMAP< )
fetchmail: IMAP< A0011 OK Success
fetchmail: message myuser@gmail.com@gmail-imap.l.google.com:81 was not the expected length (3780 actual != 3824 expected)
procmail: Unknown user "myuser"
fetchmail: MDA returned nonzero status 67

fetchmail: IMAP> A0012 LOGOUT
I just wonder if this is the reason to the error above? Any opinion on this?

It says the actual message length appears to be bigger than Fetchmail expected it to be. This may be a problem with the server you're fetching stuff from.

Your Local Delivery Agent (procmail) doesn't seem to recognize the local user name.

In any case it would be good to post your Fetchmail config (obfuscate user names and pass phrases) and the command line you run it with. Also enabling verbose / debug mode may help: more logging may mean more clues. (Note offlineimap has debug mode too: "-d imap, maildir, thread". See its manual page for warnings wrt pass phrases.)
