upnp IGD, samba servers

I'm working on a home network and am looking for a good upnp IGD server, just automatic port forwarding for messenger, bittorrent and any games that use it. I don't want upnp AV- no audio video server.

I found two sources and am wondering if anyone tried them out and if they work:

Also I'm thinking about installing a Samba server if it enables useful windows features. Does windows need Samba for file and folder sharing or anything like that? Do any lan games require Samba services?
