Uploading web pages; get "access forbidden" when I load them in browser!

EEK! I never expected that to happen.

My web site files, which I moved from my WIndows partition, I updated. I then uploaded them via ftp to my site server.

When I use Mozilla to load my site, I get errors all over the place, saying access is forbidden (#403 I think...)

SOmewhere, somehow, all my files now locked down in some goofy way. I know Linux is good with security, but I never expected it to attach those attributes to the web server (which is Apache)!

How can I eliminate the restriction?

Thanks!!

make sure the directories are the correct permissions, the files you are accessing are the correct permissions, and that you have indexes enabled in the httpd.conf file.
