Exclamation Upgrading postgresql


currently, i'm having redhat 7.2 and postgresql 7.1.3

i can't upgrade postgresql to 7.3.2 version and the command

"rpm -Uvh postgresql-7.2.3-5.73.i386.rpm"

doesn't return anything and exits.

where can i find rpm s and how to install it...

If you didn't misquote yourself, you are using '7.2.3' in the command to install the 7.3.2 rpm. I can't remember if I installed 7.3.2 from rpm or from tar.gz, but it DID work. If you had the numbers right for the rpm and it still doesn't work, try the .tar.gz. There is a README or an INSTALL once you get it unzipped.
