Post Upgraded video card, KDE fonts unreadably small

This machine was running a Geforce 4 MX440 until recently when the card kicked the bucket. I threw a GF2 MX in as a temp solution and ordered a 6200 AGP. I ran xorgconfig to autodetect the new card (X was crashing on startup). I then proceeded to install the nVidia kernel module. The splash logo comes up and everything when I run kdm. However, KDE's fonts are extrememly small. Firefox is not affected, and I bet there's other apps that aren't either. I'm guessing something got overwritten, the KDE control center settings look fine, the smallest font in there is 10pt.

Note how FF is fine and everything else is comically small - this is in 1024x768.

Try running the kinfocenter then looking at the resolution setting in the Xserver option if it is set to something too low then you can use the ServerArgsLocal=-nolisten tcp in the file /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc to increase it with a line like ServerArgsLocal=-dpi 100 -nolisten tcp to set the dots per inch to something higher.

That did it, either xorgconfig or the driver setup had set them to 45dpi. Ouch.

One thing to note though, the file was in /opt/kde/share/config/kdm/kdmrc (this is 3.4.2).

That is what I thought the difference in the file would be because of the different distros file placement.
