Upgrade my current g++ v4.9X to g++ v5.1 or newer on Suse Leap 42.3

I need to update my current Suse Leap 42.3 that contains
g++ v4.9x to g++ 5.1 or newer. Can I do this? And, if so
where can I get g++ 5.1?

I will appreciate any help,
jimonlinux

The post from Knudfl was right on.
I went to https://software.opensuse.org/package/gcc5.
The site downloaded gcc5 made the dir. and unpacked the package.
I pointed the program to the gcc5 dir. and everything worked; just like downtown.

Upgrade ? Never a good idea to change or remove the system compiler.
  • You can have as many versions of gcc as you want, installed at the same time.
Example 1. https://software.opensuse.org/package/gcc5

2. gcc53-c++-5.3.0-1.el6.x86_64.rpm → provides /usr/bin/{gcc53, g++53}
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7S...ew?usp=sharing

3. gcc63-c++-6.3.0-1.el7.x86_64.rpm → provides /usr/bin/{gcc63, g++63}
