Updating to Gimp2 hard crash. PLS HELP

Hi all. I have big trouble. Please help me. Yesterday I had compiling new gimp2. It was pretty hard but I did it. I must to upgrade gtk to gtk-2.4 and it wanted new glib also. So I compile it too. And everyting I said was pretty good. After all I run gimp2 and it worked fine. So I was happy. After it I tried to restart X for sure that everything works fine. My fonts have little changed and I really don't know why. Hmm but I thought that I'll look on it tomorrow or ..
BUT when I had today morning started computer My X didn't started. I did too much maybe stupid maybe right things. It is really too much to describe. So I want to ask how can I completly remove and purge (really clean) remove all Xserver (XFree, gtk, all glibs ....). Is it possible to very clean reinstall of whole X and libs??? And HOW? My system works really good and I really don't want to reinstall whole system like windoze. So please help me.
PS: I have debian testing on 2.6.3
and I know that I'm not the Linuxguru:-)

before you try all that, have you tried to diagnose the X problem? have you read the logs? (iirc, in /var/log) - they may point you in the right direction.

logs

Of course I did. But at the biggining when it all started in logs was only : setting mode 1024x768
And nothing all. If there were something that culd point me I would be somewhere else now.
But one goog new for me. I have X now. So the X are working fine. But all that works me now is only on gtk-1.2. I think because for example xcdroast and xmms and hopely opera are working. But when I try st with gtk2 I have this:

gnomeicu &

(gnomeicu:15039): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: specified class size for type `PangoXftFontMap' is smaller than the parent type's `PangoFontMap' class size

(gnomeicu:15039): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: file gobject.c: line 819 (g_object_new): assertion `G_TYPE_IS_OBJECT (object_type)' failed

(gnome_segv:15042): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: specified class size for type `PangoXftFontMap' is smaller than the parent type's `PangoFontMap' class size

(gnome_segv:15042): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: file gobject.c: line 819 (g_object_new): assertion `G_TYPE_IS_OBJECT (object_type)' failed
And this was the main problem on my first thread TOO. I'm sorry. This could point you all somewhere maybe. my friends. So All I wanted now is some clean reinstall of all graphic libraries of gtk-2
OK. I hope that some1 can help. THANX
