Hello!
I am running a linux install on my ASUS tinkerboard for file/media server and network filtering usage. I am using the latest version of DietPi (based on Raspbian/Debian 9.0). The tinkerboard is accessed via SSH (headless setup).
I have compiled qBittorrent 4.1.3 for my setup because the base system only supports older versions of qBittorrent (3.x which has a shitty, outdated webUI). I used the following compilation guide:
https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBitt...or-ARM-devices
How can I update my complied version of qBittorrent? From what I understand, qBittorrent does not have a functional settings import/export system. I have a copy of all the relevant .torrent files, so I am OK with a "clean" re-compilation of the latest qBittorrent version.
I am trying to figure out what I need to do to keep qBittorrent up to date. Do I need to delete it or can I just recompile it "over" the existing installation? How would this process work? How would the steps vary relative to the above mentioned guide?
I have a bunch of other applications running on the ASUS tinkerboard (SMB server, Pi-Hole), so I don't want to fuck up my install. DietPi provides a very user friendly application management system, but qBittorrent 4.x requires compilation by the user on DietPi.
I am a linux noob, but I can follow instructions and I understand general computing paradigms. I was not able to find any good instructions via Google search, so I decided to post here.
Thanks.

EDIT: The above linked guide now includes instruction on how to resolve the issue outlined in this post.
