Updated to Mandriva 2006 and having two problems

I just upgraded, well I backed up my data and did a fresh install of Mandriva 2006 last night from 2005 LE. I only have two problems. Number one is that every time I open kmail I have the e-mail "Welcome to Mandriva Linux" and when I sign in to my MSN account using Kopete I can talk to people if they message me but it's not showing anybody on my msn contacts list as being online. Anybody else experience this? I know I could use gaim or something but I like kopete and amsn takes forever to sign in.

Kopete problem solved, but still keep getting intro e-mail.
