Question update-usbids: command not found, why?


What should I install for the update-usbids command to be found?

I have:

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 20.10
Release: 20.10
Codename: groovy

A few options for finding the package containing a file: https://askubuntu.com/questions/481/...rovides-a-file. I am not sure if the newest version of apt has a more "standard" way similar to yum whatprovides.

that is obsolete on systemd based systems, so unavailable (and not needed).
