Update error - appstreamcli: symbol lookup error

After a troubled upgrade from Kubuntu 18.04 to KDE Neon, last error seems to be the inability to run any update.

Discover told me there are updates, but is crashing trying to fetch the updates

Discover crash errors

Using CLI I got this errors

So tried to use Muon, resulting seems to discover updates needed for Kubuntu (I supposed was not the case, being now a KDE Neon installation)

Muon Kubuntu updates search

To start I tried to just update a package (Google Chrome) using Muon, resulting in a change in the kind of errors I get

Discover update problems after Muon update attempt

Also seems there are two Discover installed

Two Discover?

Unfortunately I'm not an expert, before doing any more damage, any suggestion is welcomed.

Testing with Synaptic about available updates I got always the same error

Quote:
E: Problem executing scripts APT::Update::Post-Invoke-Success 'if /usr/bin/test -w /var/cache/app-info -a -e /usr/bin/appstreamcli; then appstreamcli refresh-cache > /dev/null; fi'

Looking in Neon seems there are problems related to Discover, but appear to be not related to mine case, considering I fail to get updates whatever system I try to use.
