up2date problem


hi,

i want to update my software via up2date for my servers(RHAS3). but, unfortunately, my x-windows in my servers cannot working probably. it keeps mentioning "Attention out of range". then, how should i update the software??? pls help thanks.

From the command line as root type
up2date --nox -u
Actually with this method I've encountered problems where the up2date program itself
was one of the updates. I've found it works best to first up2date the up2date program,
then the rest.
So type these 2 commands in order
up2date --nox up2date
up2date --nox -u
