Post unZipping a file

I'm trying to use the native Linux commands to unZip a zip file with 2 files in it. gunzip won't do it if more than one file is in the zipfile. Got any suggestions?

Confused...
Unless I am reading the question incorrectly, you are using the wrong command.

If you want to uncompress a ZIP file (.zip), use unzip
If you want to uncompress a GZip file (.gz), use gunzip

If the extension of the file is .tgz then use
tar -xvzf <file_name>
else specify the extension of the file to be unzipped

The problem is, using the utilities native to RH 7.3, unzip only works if there is exactly 1 file in the .zip file. I regularly receive 2 or more files in the zip.
I"m newly struggling with PKware's PKZIP for Linux (Command Line).
