unrar .img-files?

i have quite a few rars with movies. they all say the .imgfile is 2 GB, but the actual size is about 4 GB. when i come to unraring 2.1 GB it stops right there, giving no error message or anything. Im using latest ubuntu 32b if that is to any help. what is wrong here? :S

already have i nice script to mount/unmount my ISOs/imgs but that's not the problem, it's that i can't unpack them, they just disappear at about 2.1 GB unrared. smaller files(abut 300 MB) is unrared ok. what should i do?

Try to unrar from the command-line with the command:

$ unrar x filename.rar

If it hangs somewhere along the line you atleast get an error.....
