Hey guys,
I need a multiplatform browser which have
- portability
- HTML5 capability, specially for playing videos
- legal to be redistributed in modified form
- small in size
Of course my first option was Firefox, it have Mac, Windows and Linux, while still relatively small.
It have the capability of opening this page's video :
http://www.videojs.com
However, when I set the profile to local, and do some other modifications, somehow it cannot open the relative path within the .bat file I made in Windows.
But when I use light : lightfirefox.sourceforge.net the html displayed correctly and it can also play the video without any problem, using the same configuration I made for firefox.
Unfortunately it only have windows version.
I've also looked into QTWeb :
http://qtweb.net but it cannot render the video correctly, only displaying the play button, but no videos at all.
Most OS have been armed with browser and double clicking html files would be sufficient in most cases, but I did some more adjustments to light, like removing the navigation, menu and tool bar for the aesthetic purpose. So, I kinda need this feature too (did it with kiosk add-on for firefox, which installed without any problem within light)
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks in advance!
