Unison Setup

Hi.

I'm trying to configure unison to sync two files but it keeps failing to merge them, here is my default.prf file

# Unison preferences file
backup = Name *
maxbackups = 50
backupdir = /home/testuser/uni_backups
root = node1-test/
root = node2-test/
merge = Name * -> diff3 CURRENT1 CURRENTARCH CURRENT2 -m > NEW

but the result is :

UNISON started propagating changes at 15:31:42 on 22 Feb 2007
100% 00:00 ETAFailed [passwd]: No archive found whereas the 'merge' command template expects one
UNISON finished propagating changes at 15:31:42 on 22 Feb 2007

Not too sure what this error messages means, however I did notice that there are no file in the backupdir?
I'm sure there is some one out there that got this working, do you have any advice please?
Thanks.
