Uninstalling Software

hello

I installed cdrecord on my system and would like to unstall it.

"make uninstall" does not seem to work. What can I do?

Tanx

you could start by telling us how you installed it and what distro you are running, we aren't psychic. if you installed from source then "make uninstall" needs to be run from the directory you installed it from.

Hello

I apologise for not supplying details. My grey matter must have gone to sleep at the time. I use redhat enterprise version 3. I downloaded cdrtools-beta.tar.gz from berlios and installed in. But I would like to uninstall or remove it. Is this possible?

as above, you need to return to the source directory and run make uninstall there.
