Uninstalling KDE
Hey all,
Essentially, I have main users I work with on this machine: root and pud. I run the Fluxbox window manager on pud (the user i'm logged in as 99% of the time). And quite frankly, I'm loving Fluxbox, so much so, that when I had to do some serious editting on my box, I was horrified when the KDE 3.1 logo showed up after a [root@localhost]: startx. What I'm asking is:

How would I go about uninstalling KDE 3.1
After KDE is uninstalled, there will be no window manager for root, how would I install fluxbox on it?
I'm assuming I can just copy the fluxbox-*.tar.gz to /root/src/, unpackage, and install it there. But I'm doubting this will work (don't ask why, I'm just not into trusting myself lately  ). Thanks in advance, [wc] |
if you start the x server by typing startx as command prompt you can set a windows manager by doingthe following...
:Log In as the user you want to set flucbox as the wm for.. echo "fluxbox windows manager executable" >.xinitrc i dont have fluxbox installed, but its home page will tell you what enteries you need in the .xinitrc. |
