Uninstalling

I installed a couple of programs (Apache 1.3.28 and PHP 4.3.3) that I now want to uninstall. The extensions are for both of them before installed were .tar.gz. I am on Red Hat 8.0. How would I uninstall those?

Thanks

I have a similar problem. I untarred the file, entered the resulting directory and installed. I then deleted the directory that the install info was in.

How do I uninstall in that case?
