Undo dependencies

The core problem I am facing is that in PC Linux, on launching Wine, X restarts.
After trying out Wine installation in some distros, I observed that the dependency list varies. In those distros where I have been able to successfully run Wine, the dependency list contains a few names, libwine being one of them. But, in the troublesome installation, the dependency list is huge and includes a lot of files starting with X and a few of them with X11, and more importantly there is no libwine.

I would like to know how to redo this dependency list, since everytime I uninstall and reinstall Wine the same files are being selected.
I have successfully installed Wine in another PCLinux installation, so this behaviour is not related to PC Linux.

A screenshot showing the dependencies is here : http://img509.imageshack.us/my.php?image=snapshot1yr0.jpg
