Understanding error messages in avast?
 

When I run avast antivirus on suse 10.3 I get many files that cannot be scanned, with messages like:

'device does not exist'

and many others. From what I have read many of these messages might be benign. However I would like to understand them. Is there a resource that might help me with this? I've even look at the avast forum and there is not much help there.
