Uname ?
Figured out, hehe :p

I saw this feature while compiling kernel. As I remember you can add any string just after the kernel version, e.g. you can got uname output like "2.6.13.3MyKernel"
|
You can add flags to uname so that they just show one certain thing. Open a terminal and execute man uname for a list of flags.
And you can make aterm transparent, but I don't know how as I use the normal Gnome terminal (which I managed to make transparent too) -A |

sweet, thanks to for the replies, i ended up figuring out my problems, to change the uname output i had to recompile my kernel and change the uname options within the source, and transparency, the link i was handed worked wonders, thanks
