I am trying to use ekiga on fedora 10 with a windoz pc running netmeeting.
The windoz pcs can talk / see each other on netmeeting. But when I try from my linux box (using this as the address "h323:192.1.1.12" ), I get connected but the window shows my own local end video and there is no voice even from the other side. The other side gets my call notification and on accepting the call doesnot observe / hear anything either.
Can someone tell me where is the problem ?
thanks
nishith
I didnot try that ! actually I wish to use on the intranet of my org and therefore didnot register for a sip id with ekiga.net.
Is that necessary to even work on the intranet LAN?
There is hardly any configuration reqd and I think it is fine as I can see the local video. However, the remote video and picture-in-picture options etc are all grayed out.

Sorry I know nothing about Windows. Does this "Netmeeting" run the h323 protocol? and what happens when the windows box tries to connect with you? Have you looked at the logs from Ekiga? There could be useful information contained therein. Does Ekiga/Netmeeting claim that video calls are possible between them?
Cheers,
jdk
