unable to update the admin password in phpnuke


I am using Fedora Core 2 and PHPNUkE 6.9 and mysql.-3.23.58-9
I am unablle to update my admin password.

When I input the new password, it get this in the error log:
PHP Notice: Undefined index: 2 in /var/www/html/mainfile.php on line 217, referer: http://www.primary.com/admin.php?op=...chng_aid=admin

the line from the mainfille is $pwd = "$user[2]" (shown in contect below)

this error went away after i updated to phpnuke 7.3
