Unable to Print from Gimp

I am trying to print am image direct from Gimp 2.2.8. I am running KDE3.4.1 on SUse 9.3 Pro.
My printer is a HP Deskjet 6540, using the hplip driver, revision 0.9.3.

WHen i print (this seems to only occur in Gimp), i get a page that says :

then it keeps spitting out blank pages until i press the cancel button on the front of the printer.

Here is the command Gimp has entered for the print command:

lp -s -dDeskjet_6540 -oraw

It is set for PostScript Level 2, and i have specified a PPD file. What else do i need to do to get it to print properly?

Figured it out. If printing to a non-postscript printer, you must remove the -oraw from the print command

As long as i have someone's attention, how can i spool this to Kprinter instead of printing directly form Gimp? I'd like to be able to adjust the ink/quality settings before printing.
