Unable to play Pa VidPlayer videos
I have a website and uploaded an embedded video to it that plays in Windows but not with my Puppy Linux. All that happens when I try to play the video is that the wheel spins in the middle. I use SecureServer as my webpage designer so I didn't choose how my site embeds videos. The page on my site is www.globalwarmingllc.com
I have the latest flashplayer installed and tried installing JRE from the repository. Besides finding out that I can't view other videos when the website uses Pa VidPlayer, a websearch didn't help me.
I am wondering if everyone using Linux would have the same problem in which case I will use a link instead or if the problem is with just me or my version of Linux.

Plays fine on my Debian Sid with the latest version of Flash (11.2.202.394) in Firefox Nightly (34.0a1 (2014-08-02)).
Do you have gnash installed which could be being used instead of Flash? That's been the cause when I have had issues with Flash videos in the past.

Thanks 273,
I figured it was on my end. I don't know about gnash but I didn't install it. I'll check it out.

I don't think it has anything to do with gnash. I'm running flash with the same version as 273 on Firefox Nightly. I get the same perpetually spinning icon as you. I also have tight security on Firefox including https everywhere, adblocker plus, etc. I tried it on Chrome (my unsecured browser) and the page worked normally. I'm guessing your problem is related to your extensions/plugins on Firefox.

It played here on Debian Sid.
I did have to load the page twice to get it to play successfully; the first time, I got the spinning icon.

I tried it again and just had the same experience as Frank. It worked without problems on Firefox even with all the security plugins/extensions enabled. So I guess the answer is, "if at first you don't succeed try, try again".

Thanks for the replies.
I did get it to work on a Puppy Linux but I had to update Firefox from 25 to 26. That seemed odd because when I right clicked on the video frame, the date of the Pa VidPlayer was 2011. Firefox has been updating its versions at a rate of 4 or 5 per year so I figured that wasn't it.
I'll have to see if there is a better way of putting videos up on my site.
