Dear friends,
i am a new user to linux. i am not able open web page though LAN is connected to the pc. But i can open web page in windows.
I tried to configure the Ip address also.
IP adress, subnet mask, default gate way, server adress etc are also configured.
please help me.............

While you are in linux is connection led of the modem burning ?

He meant we need more information about your network.
This much is not enough. How do you connect to the net.
Is it dial up or dsl or through a LAN.
What are the settings in your windows system.
You should check your connection by using ping. If it's OK, then the problem may come from the proxy or the router. It may block some ports used for web surfing.
