unable to open php files

Ok I installed apache2 and php5 but when I go to http://domainname.com, http://localhost, http://locallanip, or http://ipaddress I get a pop up window asking me to download a file named randomstuffhere.phtml.part I have no clue on what's going on, I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't seem to fix it, any ideas?

Ok lets see if I can make this anymore clear

I just installed apache2 and php5, im running ubuntu. when I go to the following website I have hosting

http://hoperecoveryinc.org

it opens up with a box to download the following file

zPF6c7HX.phtml.part

zPF6c7HX part of the file name randomly changes each time I go there. Im totally confused on why this is happening

Edit:
It's only happening with the default site now, the virtual hosting site works just fine

Sounds like a problem with your browser since when I open that site in my browser it renders some sort of religious propaganda site.

Ok, I'm a bit lost here. Can you confirm the following? The URL you posted works fine for you too, but when you try to host the same content on another machine you have problems.

Incorrect

I can view the url I posted on my laptop just fine no issues, but when I view it on the computer that's running apache2 is when I get it gives me the problem.

Umm, "the computer that's running apache2". Sorry I don't get it, that sounds to be the same as what I described...

Or are you saying that your local instance of apache2 is interfering with your browser when you point it at "http://hoperecoveryinc.org"?

that would be correct, the computer that's running apache2 that's hosting http://hoperecoveryinc.org is the computer that's having the issue viewing the site, if I go to my laptops I can view it just fine.

Have you looked in the apache log files?

Have you tried using a different web browser? Eg epiphany, w3m, etc

Clear your Firefox Cache.

I had a similar issue where it kept asking me do download the info.php file which only had

Code:
<?php
phpinfo();
?>
Once I cleared my Firefox Cache it was able to view it fine.
