Indeed that would be the case, so many years of using DVDs and never even new it wasn't actually an ISO .

Apparently there isn't an XDVDFS driver for Linux? I am attempting to mount a disk that is using XDVDFS not UFS (as I previously thought). There seem to be various extraction tools but no drivers, there apparently is one windows, however.

Well since I was unable to find a proper driver for the file format I found a neat python program that extracts the image ... actually it crashed while writing this... so no progress as of yet I suppose .
