Unable to install VLC media player

Hi dear friends,

I am getting a conflict error in my linux fc4 box whenever I am trying to install vlc media player.

It was asking for so many dependency files so I have installed all of them except one.

The problematic file-name is libstdc++-4.0.2-8.fc4.i386.rpm.

whenever I am trying to install the file it is saying that "file /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 from install of libstdc++-4.0.2-8.fc4 conflicts with file from package libstdc++-4.0.2-8."

Pls help me so that I can install VLC.

It says

"Setting up install Process
Setting up repositories
Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: updates-released"
