Red face unable to get dependencies


Dear


Linux:~/Desktop/kannel # rpm -ivh kannel-1.4.0-3.1.fc2.fr.i386.rpm

warning: kannel-1.4.0-3.1.fc2.fr.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key

error: Failed dependencies:

libcrypto.so.4 is needed by kannel-1.4.0-3.1.fc2.fr
libsqlite.so.0 is needed by kannel-1.4.0-3.1.fc2.fr
libssl.so.4 is needed by kannel-1.4.0-3.1.fc2.fr


and basically i am unable to get these dependencies so plz help me out......

libssl should be provided by openssl. libsqlite should be provided by sqlite. I forget whether or not crypto is its own package. Hopefully, some other Fedora expert will be able to give you more information if this does not help.

I think you can use yum to take care of all the dependencies. Here's a small tutorial on doing that.

Are there still repositories for Fedora Core 2?

If you put the name of the package "kannel-1.4.0-3.1.fc2.fr.i386.rpm" in the search field here you'll get a link to download it, to the right of that link is another called "info available" or something. Click on that and look under "Check Requires" for the dependencies you're missing and click on them to download, then install them before the package that caused the error.
