unable to callup from ekiga to windoz netmeeting

I am on a network consisting of windoz pcs running netmeeting. I wish to use ekiga to join them. When I call others they get a call indication but the call doesnot connect after they click on accept call in netmeeting.
I can see my local video and also hear my voice alright so the hardware is all configured fine.
Also I am using SIP protocol.
Can someone help me out plz
thanks

Hi.

Do you know something about linux firewall (iptables)? Looks like it just blocks some connections. To test you can temporary turn firewall off (if you know how, if not, please read first about it)

It is only one of many possibilities why "the call doesn't connect after they click on accept".

good guess .
But I have tried with iptables turned off completely (service iptables stop)
so that could be counted out
thanks

Yes, but can be a router before your comp, which as well can block incoming connections.
