Launch k3bsetup and enable users as a burning group.

Mmm, edit /etc/group, and add yourself in disk group.

Hi,
I have already tried that.
Nothing is working.
I really do not want to have to reinstall slackware linux to get this working again.
Anymore ideas?

Try uninstalling k3b completely and then recompiling it from source as a fresh install. Also you might want to try installing Gnomebaker (a cd burning program that comes as default with the Gnome GUI) and see if you can burn a cd with it. It will work under KDE so you don't have to install anything more than the gnomebaker packages. If you can't burn a cd with it then it might be something with your cd burner. When you look up error 225 in the k3b documentation what does it mean?

Call me a yuppie newb but I just gave Nero $20 of my cash for their burning software. I'd been using K3b but when cdrecord started giving errors (I'd rather pay $20 than beg for a personal license) I needed a solution fast for a project I'm working on.

It installed so easily (no cdrecord issues thank you) and works as nicely as K3b. I definitely think it is worth the cash.

Just my $0.02,
Tim
