Un-installing
Ok... here's my problem...
I have red hat 7.1 from the red hat bible book, I unfortunately don't have the time to learn linux right now, tho I really want to. I have an 8gb windows HD, and linux is using up my 10gb drive. I need to uninstall linux to free up the 10 gb HD, but, it's using LILO to boot up, if I just fdisk it, I fear I will lose the ability to boot my computer all together. How can I uninstall linux, and make it auto boot to windows again? do I have to reinstall windows, coz I'd like to avoid that if possible. TIA. Dreemweaver |
fdisk /MBR will clear lilo from the MBR and you should be able to boot into windows normally as it will rewrite itself to the MBR upon a reboot.
Then from there, you can use many different tools like fdisk or whatever to reformat your 10 GB drive with the linux partitions on it. |
