Ultimate xterm
Hi everyone,
I would like to embed an xterm (transparent) into my desktop that has system info piped through it. The xterm should have no window components to it and look competely invisble other thn the text in it. If anyone knows how to embed the xterm and/or pipe the system info through it I would really like to know how this is done Cheers P |
Im not sure this is what you are looking for.... but this is with a program called eterm...
http://www.linuxbrit.co.uk/screenshots/ -these are the screenshots for it... http://www.linuxbrit.co.uk/tips/#logger -here's how to do it. Hope this helps Geoff |
I use a program called xrootconsole to pipe the output of my apache access logs to my desktop. It looks like this. Its kind of hidden behind the open applications but its at the top of the screen. You can see the IIS viruses trying to get through(GET /scripts/....)

And I use a similar application called root-tail which is nice because of the colors options, but doesn't work on some systems.
