ubuntu packages

i am trying to install software on my Linux mint computer, mint is the same as Ubuntu but different GUI's etc... when i apt-get software it comes up as the file can not be found.

e.g. when i tryed to get amsn i get this error:

W: Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/poo...uild1_i386.deb
404 Not Found

i get a smiler error with all other software i try to get, yet i can assess the internet as i am now and i am fully connected

please help

I just clicked on one of those links and it worked. Is it possible that that particular server was down? Try it again.
Also try using the GUI package manager (Adept or Synaptic)---if you still have the issue, try selecting different repositories.

ok thanks its started to work again, i think the server was down i don't know
