Ubuntu library issues
Hi, I've been wanting to get the latest version of pidgin working and upon installing I was told 3 of my libraries were out of date, so I looked on synaptic and was told the latest version on the repository was the one I had already. So I fished around looking for a new library and eventually found and installed it but now nothing will compile without the libraries from the original repositories and I can't remove the latest library I put on because it will remove everything including xfce desktop. Anyone able to assist :S
