Angry Ubuntu + LFTP + set xfer:verify setting

Hi Guys,

I have a script which launch's lftp in mirror mode and downloads a local mirror to the specified location, that part works fine.

I have noticed, during the download, it halts for fair while.
I have manually launched the desired command and it keeps stalling for long periods at:

`<file>.ext' at 5006880 (10%) [Waiting for response...->Verifying...]
To me, this appears to be related to the xfer:verify setting, which i have changed in both /etc/lftp.conf & ~/.lftp/rc however, it still launch's and tries to verify the files.

This process is taking anywhere from 1 minute to 5 minutes per file, this significantly slows down mirroring large amounts of data.

I'm hoping someone can give me some suggestions.

After running debug and watching and waiting for a transfer to complete, the issue looks to be related to:

After setting this to no, the verification process takes less than 15 seconds, and the next file starts to download shortly after, this is a big difference.
