Ubuntu 17.0 does not exist yet. The last version is 16.04 LTS

And you should be able to find download links for 16.04 here: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop

In general, if you use your favorite search engine to look for a distro name (e.g. Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, or UbuntuBSD) along with the word "download" you'll go straight to the download page. Torrents are usually the best and fastest way to get the installation images. There will be a torrent link on the distro's official download page for you to use.

The download for Linux Mint 17 is here: https://www.linuxmint.com/download.php
You will have several options. I recommend the Torrent as it is faster.

The download for Fedora 23 for the desktop is here: https://getfedora.org/en/workstation/download/

(Those are the versions at the time of this post.)

Either can be found in just about any search engine looking for the distro name plus the word "download"

Thank you sir.

i found it to be good ideal to install fedora 23 64 bit but the network simulator (Estinet) to run on this operating system required fedora 20 64 bit. or is it possible for it to work on fedora 23 as well?

i will appreciate your idea

thanks

The system requirements should be listed on the "estinet" web site. There will also be information about how to install it. Ideally you want a ready package for your package management system.

Yes thank you sir. Really appreciate your contribution. However, i the operating system required on their site is fedora 20 64 bit and i also got a reply through the mail i sent to the company yesterday stating this operating system.

The message read;

Our simulator has to be installed on the Linux Fedora 20 64-bit operating system. If your computer’s operating system is Windows, you can install VMware Player (a freeware) first to create a virtual machine and then install Linux Fedora 20 on that virtual machine.

so this is the reason i tried to download the required operating system.

Thank you.

Yes, but it would be useful to look at what etsinet has published as the requirements. Fedora 20 reached end of life a year ago: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/End_of_life

So the information in the mail is quite outdated. Looking at the official web site should provide more current information.
