What happens when you use the command line and attempt to connect to the vsftp server? From a terminal, type "ftp <hostname>". What happens?

when i use cmd line ftp it does work.
shouldnt that mean that the "connect to server" thing should work? |
What do you mean when you say "trying to mount an ftp(with login)"? Can you tell me in more detail what you're trying to do, and with what?
|
in gnome, i click "Places" and then "Connect to Server" and then "Ftp(with login)" and then i type in server ip and my username to connect. Then when actually go to server it asks for password, i give it it, and then nothing comes up.

I'll try your method at home this evening and post the results.
