I just installed Mythtv on a new install of Ubuntu 6.10 using a brand spankin new Hauppauge Pvr-500. I get video, but I'm not getting any sound. The sound works in the OS, just not in mythtv. Has anyone else run into this before? Also when I was configuring it I see a Tuner1 but I don't see a Tuner0. I've done test captures from /dev/video0 and /dev/video1 and both worked (still no sound). So right now I have both of them configured with Tuner1 in mythtv . I'm not sure if that's a problem or not.

I'm pretty sure these are the last two hurdles I have. The sound one is the more serious. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is a possibly a known issue with the PVR-500.

Does the card have an audio-out jack on it? Maybe try that and see if the interruption is elsewhere.
