Ubuntu 16.04 - upgrade to ZFS 0.7?

What is the recommended way to upgrade ZFS on Ubuntu Xenial? I have read this thread, but it seems the PPA is not safe? Has anyone upgraded ZFS to 0.7?

Ok, I just followed the instructions and everything seemed fine. This is how you install ZFS 0.7.11 in Ubuntu 16.04.5:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jonathonf/zfs
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt install linux-headers-$(uname -r)
sudo apt install zfs-dkms
