Ubuntu 13.04 "apt-get update" problems
 
Can anyone please help me with this problem?

I did a fresh install of Lubuntu and opened Synaptic to check out what versions of some libraries were included but I was surprised to see that only the installed packages were showing up so I tried
Code:
apt-get update
and then some packages showed up but there were a lot of errors.

If for no other reason to simplify it a bit. Save the old sources.list as sources.list.old, make a new sources.list that contains the above, then run the update and see what happens.
The problem was with the PK servers. I changed it to archive.ubuntu* and it worked!

Great, that was going to be my next suggestion. Finding mirrors that work/work well can be a trial and error process.
