Ubuntu 12.04

My Moon4 OS died so after some thought, I installed Ubuntu 12.04, but I am still not comfortable with the Unity Desktop. I would like to install Cinnamon or Mate...do you know whether it is possible?? Thanks

I did a couple of quick web searches. Looks like it's possible.

On the whole, I'd suggest getting Mint. Yes, you can get Mate or Cinnamon for Ubuntu. But it's not what Ubuntu intended and no-one there's going to be interested in any problems that arise! Clem, who produces Mint, wrote Cinnamon himself and is the coordinator for the Mate project, so you'd be getting it straight from the horse's mouth, as it were.

It all sounded too hard so I went for Mint Maya, simple install, matched up to my printer and now does what I need it to. Thanks for help and advice!
