ubuntu 10.04 Evolution 2.2.8.3 does not update inbox

I have installed ubuntu 10.04 last week on a new drive. I was using 8.04 before. I have linked the Evolution command to the version that I had been using on the previous drive. Now the inbox does not update. If I delete an email it shows up with a linethrough. The little Inbox area at the bottom may show a new email but it does not appear in the inbox list.
The workaround is to click on one of the subfolders then click back. The new email appears.

Is this some sort of problem with tracking the link? with Evolution itself or with 10.04?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Rex

oops it was a filter problem

I have answered my own question, I think. (It will take a day or so to see if all the problem goes away.)

I had set it up to collect my wife's email over the summer and put in a filter to save in a separate folder. I canceled the folder when we came home, but did not cancel the filter. That seems to have caused it to think there was a folder conflict of some sort (probably trying to put mail in a no-longer existant mail box.)

Maybe this will be useful to someone else.

I was wrong. I still does it, I get an "Error while Storing folder 'Inbox'. column folder_name is not unique"

Anybody know what that means?

Thanks,

Rex
