Types of data that can be stored in rrdtools

Hi all

can I use rrdtool datatabase to store data like ip address along with a traffic sent to it. so the valus if the ip-address and traffic should be measured at time series and stored in the rrdtools. So there should be 2 data sources which stores ip and traffic.

If the ipaddress can be saved can it be saved as xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx format or any other format?.
As long as i know the rrdtool can store the data rates. thats why i want to calrify this.

Thanx for any Help !!

Yes, you can use RRDTool for that. See the docs that came with it, and check out the MRTG application, which uses RRDTool for exactly that purpose.
