two problems after compiling my kernel

I use Mandrake 10 and I compile my one kernel 2.6.8

Almost everyting works great, but I have two things that works with my old kernel and not with the new. The first one is that supermount is not supported. I search it with "make xconfig" but dind't find it.

The other problem that I have is that bootsplash is no supported either. Can someone help me with these.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure there are kernel options for both of these. You'll have to reconfigure, taking extra care to look for the options you need, then recompile.

You should google a bit around, I red somewhere that supermount is not supproted for kernels >= 2.6.3. They recommended to use autofs instead. Unfortunately I don't remember the source.

don't know about the mounting but the bootsplash isn't a standard kernel feature, you have to patch the kernel source before configuring it. see www.bootsplash.org for more info and downloads.
