Two distros on one hard drive
Dear all,
I believe that it is possible to have two (or more?) Linux Distributions on one hard drive, however I am having problems actually doing so.
I have RedHat 9 and want to add Suse (from a mag dvd). Booting the DVD brings up Yast2 with various options, but I am not sure which to use.
Yast detects Redhat and says it can update it, but I don't want to do that.
I don't appear to be able to install a new version of Linux and specify where it has to go, I already have two spare partitions set up and formated as Ext3, one for Boot and one for root (/).
Could someone point me in the right direction?
Once it's installed how do I boot? I have tried running two redhat dists and the one I booted complained bitterly as it found two root partitions. Guess I did something wrong but as a newbie I don't know what.
Hope you can help
John.
